Account and data removal
Public deletion instructions
You can delete your account without signing in to this website. Use the in-app flow when possible, or email us if you no longer have access to the app. This page is provided for App Store, Google Play, and privacy compliance.
IN THE APP
Delete from Privacy & Security
Open Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account. Confirm the destructive action in the dialog.
When cloud sign-in is configured, the app invokes our delete-account service, removes your Supabase Auth user, clears local collection data on the device, and signs you out.
Account deletion begins immediately when you confirm. Cloud deletion is typically completed within minutes.
BY EMAIL
If you cannot access the app
Email privacy@theconservatory.garden from the address associated with your account.
Use the subject line "Data deletion request."
Include the email address on your account, the platform you used (iOS or Android), and whether you still have an active Premium subscription.
We may ask you to verify your identity before completing the request. Email requests are typically processed within 30 days, often sooner.
WHAT IS DELETED
Data removed with your account
When deletion succeeds, the following are removed as applicable: account profile (email, display name, avatar), plants and species records, care logs and tags, reminders, photos metadata, graveyard and memorial records, specimen tags, archive curation data, user preferences, and synced cloud database rows tied to your user ID.
Local SQLite collection tables, sync queue entries, session tokens, and local profile rows on the device are cleared as part of account deletion.
Local photo files in the app sandbox are removed where applicable as part of clearing local collection data.
WHAT MAY REMAIN
Records we do not control
Apple App Store and Google Play purchase and billing history are retained by Apple or Google according to their policies.
RevenueCat may retain transaction and entitlement records according to its retention schedules.
PostHog analytics events, if collected, may persist in anonymized or aggregated form according to our analytics configuration.
Provider backups or replication may retain deleted cloud data for up to approximately 30 days before automatic purge.
We may retain limited security, fraud-prevention, or legal records where required by law.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
Cancel billing separately
Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription.
iOS: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → The Conservatory → Cancel Subscription.
Android: open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → The Conservatory → Cancel.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies—not by us directly.
CLOUD DETAILS
Supabase and storage
When Supabase is configured, our delete-account service removes your Auth user. Database rows tied to your user ID are removed through foreign-key cascade, including plants, photos metadata, care logs, reminders, preferences, and related synced tables.
Cloud photo objects in Supabase Storage may not be deleted instantly by the auth deletion flow alone. Residual storage objects, if any, are purged according to provider backup and lifecycle practices.
Development or offline builds without Supabase skip remote deletion and remove local account data and session state only.
DELETION TIMING
Processing window
In-app deletion begins immediately when you confirm. Cloud auth deletion is typically completed within minutes, but provider backups or replication may retain deleted data for up to approximately 30 days before automatic purge.
Email deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days, often sooner. We may need to verify your identity first.
If deletion fails or you need confirmation, contact privacy@theconservatory.garden.
